Friday (Oct 22nd) @ 6:30 @ Mike and Katie Smith's house (1035 E 700 N--the white house on the corner of 1050E 700 N).
Come and have your husbands (and you) learn about some real BBQ'ing (not just hamburgers and hot dogs).
Mike will show us how to get started by converting a gas grill into a make-shift smoker and some basics for BBQ-ing. AND...we would LOVE for you to share any talents that you have, especially if you are from the South.
Pulled pork sandwiches and chicken will be provided.... Please RSVP to Mike Smith at mike.smith@byu.net so that we know how much food to make -- and if you haven't RSVP'd come along anyway!!! There will be plenty!
If you are willing to bring some BBQ sides, please e-mail Mike Smith at mike.smith@byu.net. or give him a call. They are looking for sides like grits, baked beans, sweet potato pie, corn bread, fried-green tomatoes, specialty drinks or anything that goes well with BBQs....as well aschips, drinks, or desserts. If you know anything else about BBQ that you would like to share (techniques, trivia, etc) let Mike know!
